Mr. & Mrs. Guwahati, the brainchild of
CEC having a reputation of organizing events like 2000 CEC organized
Coca-Cola Mega Model Show, in 2001 North East Designer's Contest
'2003, Mr. & Mrs. Guwahati 2003 , Mr. & Mrs. Guwahati 2004 and
recently Assam Fashion Week in September 2005 is the first ever
attempt made to present before the Assamese fraternity a show
specially for married couples, wherein the best couple is being
selected on the basis of their talent, co-ordination & on stage
persona. Mr. & Mrs .
Guwahati'2005, the mega event was held on 26th November '2005 at 'Pragjyoti',
ITA Machkhowa Cultural Complex from 5.30 pm.
Mr. &
Mrs. Guwahati is a contest for married couples. The participants were
judged in three rounds. In the first round each couple came on stage
in formal outfit & introduce themselves in-front of the judges & the
audience. The second round the couples were seen walking the ramp in
their respective bridal ensembles. On the basis of their introduction
& their on stage performance 5 couples was selected for the final
question round wherein they answered the question put forwarded by the
judges. The couple with the best answer walks away with the main
title. Other prizes include the 1st & 2nd Runner up title, Mr.
Personality award, Best bridal wear & Mrs. Photogenic award. The event
was started with a special Red carpet welcome to the guests which was
first of its kind in North eastern region. The event was also
showcased a display round performed by students of CEC and a special
Groomwear contest. There was a special 'Breast Cancer Awareness' round
by the female participants which was joined by Mrs. Arunima Dutta,
Mrs. India World, 2004 first runner up. The show was a unique of its
kind, this year has exceeded a step further by voicing for a cause
which is of prime concern in today's world, that is "Breast Cancer
Awareness". The entire programme will be telecast on Northeast
Television.
